In general, data leadership and strategy roles involve setting the direction and vision for how an organization uses data to drive business value. This often includes developing and implementing a data strategy, aligning data initiatives with business objectives, and managing the resources and budget for data-related projects.

Here are some important traits of a good data leader:

1. Strategic thinking: A good data leader is able to think strategically and understand how data can be used to drive business value. This includes being able to identify opportunities for data- driven innovation and develop a data strategy that aligns with business objectives.

2. Strong communication skills: A good data leader is able to effectively communicate the value of data to both technical and non-technical audiences. This includes being able to clearly explain complex data concepts and translate technical jargon into business language.

3. Collaborative approach: A good data leader is able to work effectively with a diverse team of data professionals, as well as other leaders across the organization. This includes being able to foster a collaborative culture and facilitate cross-functional communication and cooperation.

4. Problem-solving skills: A good data leader is able to approach data challenges with a problem- solving mindset and be able to identify and implement solutions to complex data problems.

5. Data literacy: A good data leader has a strong understanding of data concepts and technologies and is able to use data to inform decision-making. This includes being able to work with data analysts and data scientists to extract insights from data and communicate those insights effectively to others.

6. Business acumen: A good data leader understands the business context in which they are operating and is able to use data to support business objectives. This includes being able to identify and prioritize data initiatives that will have the greatest impact on the business.
