Project Manager – Network Operations Transformation
12 month initial daily rate contract | Sydney | Telco

We’re supporting a major transformation program within a large-scale Network Operations environment, focused on improving operational performance, uplift across service management practices, and embedding sustainable process change across complex technical domains.

This role sits across delivery, operational excellence, and process transformation. The environment is fast paced, highly stakeholder-driven, and closely connected to 24x7 operational teams across Networks, OSS, and service operations.

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end delivery of operational improvement initiatives, working closely with engineering, network operations, and service management teams to identify inefficiencies, redesign processes, and drive measurable operational outcomes.

Key areas of focus include:
  • Leading delivery of operational and process improvement initiatives across Network Operations environments
  • Driving governance, RAID management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination across complex programs of work
  • Mapping, reviewing, and uplifting operational processes across L3–L5 levels
  • Supporting operational improvements across OSS tools, workflows, and Service Management environments
  • Working closely with engineering, NOC, and operational support teams to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen service outcomes
  • Embedding change into BAU operations through clear ownership models, process documentation, work instructions, adoption planning, and operational measurement
  • Supporting improvements aligned to ITIL practices including Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management
  • Contributing to automation and workflow optimisation initiatives driven through operational redesign
The environment would suit someone who combines strong delivery capability with hands-on operational improvement experience, and who is comfortable operating within technical Network and Service Operations teams.
Experience required:
  • Proven experience delivering complex operational or transformation initiatives within Telco, Network Operations, or large-scale enterprise technology environments
  • Strong Project or Delivery Management capability with experience managing governance, RAID, dependencies, and senior stakeholders
  • Experience working within Network Operations, OSS, NOC, or Service Operations environments
  • Strong process improvement and operational excellence experience, ideally including Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience mapping and uplifting operational processes across L3–L5 levels
  • Strong understanding of ITIL service management practices
  • Demonstrated experience embedding change into BAU operational environments
  • Ability to engage effectively with both technical and operational stakeholders
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or PRINCE2 certifications are beneficial, though practical delivery and operational transformation experience will be highly regarded.
