We’re partnering with a leading global enterprise client to hire a Mid-Level GCP Data Engineer on an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cloud-first, enterprise-scale data solutions in a collaborative environment.
Full work rights in Australia are preferred but visa holders are still encouraged to apply, permitting you have the minimum six months eligibility to work in Australia.
  
Responsibilities for the Data Engineer ( SQL / GCP / BigQuery ) include :

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Work extensively with BigQuery, Terraform, and Airflow to support ETL/ELT workflows and data orchestration.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver high-quality, production-ready data solutions.
• Ensure best practices for cloud architecture, data governance, and pipeline reliability.

  
Required skills for the Data Engineer ( SQL / GCP / BigQuery ) include :

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in GCP, particularly BigQuery, Terraform, and Airflow.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data modelling, and pipeline optimization.
• Google Cloud certifications are a plus.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment.
