Data Scientist - 6 Month Contract

We are hiring a mid-senior Data Scientist on a 6-Month contract, working hybrid (3 days/week) in Sydney CBD. For this hire, an ideal background would be at least 3 years of professional experience in a good quality data science or advanced analytics team. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, hence we are focussed on data scientists who have used GCP - Google Cloud Platform and Big Query already.
  
Required Skills:

• Must have experience with GCP - Google Big Query
• Strong SQL and Python skills, across complex queries, building & troubleshooting data pipelines, DAG (Cloud Composer or Airflow), use of standard Python ML/data libraries
• Over 3 years of professional Data Science or Advanced Analytics experience, ideally you will have some experience supporting and/or deploying models into production plus post-prod monitoring and evaluation
• Good hands-on experience using XGBOOST (ideally several projects), regression and GBM
• Comfortable working with non-technical stakeholders
• Full Australian work rights

Remuneration: The contract rate will be between $600 - $770 per day based on experience

Location: Must be based in Sydney and happy with 3 days/week in CBD office.
