This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced Analytics Engineering Manager to shape how data is modelled, transformed, and visualised across key business units including Finance, Product, and Sales. The business is in a critical growth phase, with strong executive support for data and a 12-month strategy already in motion.
The successful candidate will oversee a small but growing team of Analytics Engineers and Insights Analysts, while remaining hands-on with technical delivery. They will play a crucial role in evolving internal analytics foundations, lifting data maturity, and helping business stakeholders access meaningful, trusted insights.
This role would suit a Lead Analyst or Analytics Engineer ready to step up into a manager position but remain hands on with tech delivery across data modelling, visualisation and insights.
  
Key Responsibilities for the Analytics Engineering Manager ( SQL / Databricks / dbt / Tableau ) include :
  • Lead and mentor a team of Analytics Engineers and Insights Analysts
  • Own and drive analytics engineering efforts across internal functions including Finance, Product, and Sales
  • Build and maintain scalable, well-structured data models using Kimball/dimensional methodologies
  • Design and manage dbt-based transformation pipelines (Databricks, AzureDF, or Snowflake experience welcome)
  • Develop clear, actionable Tableau dashboards and contribute to Tableau administration
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions
  • Support product event data architecture and CRM data activation initiatives (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Help improve business processes and data trust as the organisation scales
  • Guide and support the uplift of analytics capability and culture across the business
  
Essential experience for the Analytics Engineering Manager ( SQL / Databricks / dbt / Tableau ) include :
  • Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, or Analytics Manager with a strong technical foundation
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling best practices (Kimball or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with dbt and visualisation tools like Tableau (admin experience a plus)
  • Comfortable leading small teams while staying close to technical execution
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure Data Factory
  • Experience working in a scaling, fast-moving tech or product-led environment
  • Ability to guide stakeholders through ambiguity and help shape better data-informed processes
  • Bonus: experience with product usage/event data and data activation in Salesforce
