Analytics Engineer ( Azure / Azure Data Factory / Snowflake / SQL ) is required to join an exciting Retail company with the status and success of a large, profitable organisation but the excitement of a start-up.

This is a pivotal role in the organization's data infrastructure and analytics endeavors and will be responsible for designing and developing data pipelines, creating scalable models, and utilizing data to drive strategic decisions and organizational growth.

Day to day responsibilities for the Analytics Engineer ( Azure / Azure Data Factory / Snowflake / SQL ) include :

• Designing, testing, and implementing effective and scalable data pipelines using tools such as LucidCharts (for design), SQL (for building), and Azure Data Factory (for scheduling).
• Enhancing and managing data storage and processing solutions across various platforms like Azure and Snowflake.
• Automating data analysis and reporting processes using different tools and scripts. Developing statistical checks and models to ensure data quality and assessing data model impacts.
• Assessing system integrations and proposing solutions to improve data processes. Implementing data governance best practices, including code documentation and data mapping.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate complex business problems into scalable data pipelines and models.

  
Skills and experience required for the Analytics Engineer ( Azure / Azure Data Factory / Snowflake / SQL ) includes:

• A Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven commercial experience in a Data Analytics or Engineering role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Snowflake is a huge plus, advanced SQL scripting, and intermediate Python skills.
• Experience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, or similar.
• Knowledge of Data Modeling principles and methodologies.
• Experience in database design, Master Data Management (MDM), and optimizing data pipelines.
