Technology Delivery Manager

Overview:

Are you an experienced and dynamic leader with a passion for technology delivery? One of our government clients is seeking a highly skilled EL1 Technology Delivery Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of complex technological projects, ensuring quality outcomes, and supporting the broader functions of the NDIA.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team while providing high-level policy advice, managing key stakeholder relationships, and driving successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Technology delivery manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Facilitate Delivery Workflow: Drive the team's workflow and promote continuous improvement to ensure the successful delivery of services and products.
  • Manage Backlog: Collaborate with the project manager, product owner, and other stakeholders to manage and prioritize the project backlog effectively.
  • Remove Blockers: Identify and eliminate blockers that impact the team's progress, maintaining momentum and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Project Execution: Work closely with project teams to plan, coordinate, and execute the delivery of services and products, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
  • Track Progress & Performance: Monitor team performance, identify skills or knowledge gaps, and ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Plan & Coordinate Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other necessary ceremonies in line with Agile methodologies.
Essential Criteria:
  • Technical Business Analysis Experience: Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, working on highly technical projects
  • Agile and DevOps Methodology Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices, including managing continuous integration/deployment pipelines and fostering collaboration across development and operations teams.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor cross-functional teams effectively, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities and transparent communication
  • Technical Acumen and Problem-Solving: A strong understanding of modern technologies (cloud platforms, microservices, and APIs) and the ability to address technical challenges and make informed decisions
  • Quality and Continuous Improvement Focus: Commitment to quality assurance, testing strategies, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement processes to ensure long-term operational effectiveness.

Desirable Criteria:
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or ITIL.
  • Experience in software/cloud engineering or hands-on development roles, offering deeper insight into technical delivery nuances.
