This data rich fin-tech business is currently looking to grow their data analytics teams in Sydney that is looking for a Finance focused Senior Data Analyst with experience analysing large complex data sets using SQL and reporting in Power BI. Responsibilities:
• Consult with brokers and stakeholders and provide skills in data extraction, data manipulation, analysis, insights and reporting
• Opportunity to assist the team in advanced analytics technics and methodologies
• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and reporting
• Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Work closely with management to prioritise business and information needs
The ideal candidate:
• Ideally 5 plus years of commercial experience working in a finance business or department doing analytics and reporting across mortgage lending and commissions. Extracting, managing and merging large volumes of data using SQL
• Experience extracting data from large data warehouses
• Any advanced knowledge in one or more of the following: finance analytics, , customer analytics, Insights,
• Strong visualisation skills in Power BI essential and any experience in Snowflake or DBT is highly regarded
• Tertiary qualified in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Econometrics, Operational Research, Marketing etc.)
